1712 Bessler made the incredible claim that he had discovered the secret
of perpetual motion. While perpetual motion was and is considered improbable,
Bessler's amazing demonstrations appeared to meet the criteria. Orffyreus
and his secret remain as controversial today as they were 295 years ago.
